PROJECT MANAGER: FACILITIES

Commencement date: 1 April 2026

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience (see Duties and Responsibilities below).
  • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
  • Excellent role model and effective in leading, motivating and supporting a team.

  • Ability to think and engage strategically, work well under pressure and achieve tight deadlines.

  • Superb planning, coordination and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A good working knowledge of the OHSAct.
  • Knowledge of civil, electrical, plumbing, building and mechanical faults.
  • Ability to read, interpret and work from architectural, civil, electrical and services drawings, including water supply, irrigation, stormwater and sewerage plans.
  • Proficiency in computer programmes and applications (Microsoft Suite and Google Applications).
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Obtain quotes and execute all aspects of campus projects (maintenance and new).
  • Coordination and management of projects, contractors, subcontractors, and internal staff.
  • Vetting of all contractors including, subcontractors.
  • Professional interaction with architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and other consultants.
  • Control and maintain the high standard of service to the College.
  • Compile specifications for all projects.
  • Regular reporting and ad hoc reports.
  • Budget control within each project including compilation, control, estimates, reports, quotes and payments.
  • Assist with other tasks as requested by management from time to time.
