Cambridge Programme Results – November 2025

We are very proud to announce the results achieved by our Cambridge students in the November 2025 Cambridge International examinations.

At the Advanced Level (AL), nearly a third of all subject entries resulted in a distinction with over 50% of all subject entries resulting in a B symbol or higher.  Special congratulations go to Victoria Still, who scored 5 distinctions (with an average of 94%), of which 4 were over 90%, including 97% for AL Mathematics, and Matthew Wellington, who achieved 4 distinctions with an average of 88%. These are excellent achievements given that AL students normally take only 3 subjects.

Considering that the Advanced Level is viewed as a higher qualification than a South African National Senior Certificate, our candidates have done very well to achieve these excellent results and we extend our congratulations to all of them.

In the Advanced Subsidiary (AS) year, 22 % of all subject entries resulted in a distinction and 35% all subject entries resulted in a B symbol or higher.

Special congratulations go to Egor Potgieter, who achieved 4 distinctions with an average of 90% and Abdul Mueed Ahmed, who achieved 4 distinctions and averaged 89% across his 5 subjects. We also congratulate the following students for their excellent performances: Gugulethu Ngqakayi, Layla O’Donovan, Oliver Heyes, Charlie Watson and Rachel McLoughlin.

The AS results are encouraging, with subject averages indicating that our students have been well prepared to progress into the second year of the Somerset College Cambridge Programme with confidence. We are confident that they will continue to build on the strong foundation established during the AS year.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our parents for their ongoing and loyal support of the programme over the years. Their partnership has played a vital role in the success achieved by their children.

We are also pleased to welcome a strong cohort of AS students who will commence the Cambridge Programme in 2026, and we hope they draw inspiration from the excellent results achieved by our AS and AL students in the 2025 examinations.
