Established by the parents and staff of Somerset College, the Acorn Bursary Trust (ABT) is a registered Public Benefit Organisation that believes education is the greatest form of empowerment.
Through the building of a capital fund to support current and new bursary students for their full five years of high school, the ABT has brought the excellence of Somerset College education to deserving candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds for over 10 years.
As a living expression of our school’s values of dignity, aspiration, creativity and contribution, the ABT represents our commitment to make a real, valued and significant difference in our community and country. The ABT is also best positioned to open the opportunity for students to flourish as part of one of the top independent, co-educational schools in South Africa, with Somerset College graduates achieving among the best in the country, and the world, through our IEB and Cambridge curriculums.
