Hayden Morgan-Evens’ great season of golf was recently rewarded by his selection to the
Boland U19 team that will compete from 9 – 13 December at the South African Junior Inter-
Provincial Tournament hosted by Oubaai Golf Club outside George. This has been a goal of
the Somerset College Grade 11 student for some time now, and the hard work has paid off.
The day after making the Boland team, this young golfer received more excellent news from
one of Europe’s top Golf Academies, University Golf Program Málaga in Spain, accepting him
into their GAP program 2020/21 to study Spanish and to develop his golf. Hayden will
complete his A-level qualification at Somerset College in November 2020 and then leave
immediately to join the program in Spain and represent the University of Málaga in the
European Collegiate Championships. Exciting times ahead for Hayden, congratulations!
